Analysis of used filter bags

Our analysis of used bags is based on our experience (more than 3,000 filter bags analysed since our laboratory was set up).

As there are no standards covering analysis of used bags, we have drawn up a rigorous specific protocol that we apply to each analysis. We use the apparatus and  descriptions set out in the standard covering new media and we transpose them to used media.

Our measurement apparatus is certified and calibrated, and it is inspected annually by the competent specialized organizations.

Our analyses are divided up into several stages:

• Observations of the bag
• Taking samples
• Dynamometric measurements
• Measurement of weight and permeability
• Observation under a microscope
• Drawing up an analysis report
• Conclusions

Procedure to be followed to send us a bag for expert examination

• Take the bag out of the filter without shaking it too much. Do not clean the bag.
• Put the bag in an airtight plastic wrapping and seal the wrapping.
• Pack the wrapping in a carton.
• Fill in the Analysis request form carefully and enclose it with the package.
