Removal of bags at the end of their service life

During the removal phase, the team has to work in a "hostile, polluted" environment, which involves individual protection adapted to suit the dangerousness of the dust and smoke, and also optimum organization to dispose of the used bags and protect the locality from risks of pollution.

Installing a new set of bags

During the reinstallation phase, the team makes sure that the clean air casing is thoroughly clean, and especially the perforated plate, because the bags and pockets have to be correctly positioned to ensure a good seal. The services thus have a major influence on dust emission levels from the chimney.

Gentle insertion of the baskets is also decisive in determining bag service life, especially when installing fragile filtration media such as fibreglass fabric with a PTFE membrane.
