In 1905, the brothers Giacomo and Eduardo TESTORI set up their company in NOVATE MILANESE to make fabrics and cloths to filter oil from seeds.
In the 1930s, the TESTORI Company signed an agreement with the BINET Company in France, which was specialized in manufacture of felt for the papermaking industry, to develop production of woollen cloth to filter air.
On the strength of its experience in manufacture of fabrics and cloths for filtration, the TESTORI Company diversified its clientele in the 1950s, when the chemicals, metalworking and pharmaceutical industries started to look carefully at protection of the environment.
It was not until the 1960s and 1970s that a major innovation arrived, one that was to revolutionize the world of filtration. On the basis of synthetic fibres brought in from the USA, the first needle looms were installed in Europe to make "needled felts" by reproducing the "felting" effects noted on woollen cloth.
The TESTORI Company was one of the first companies in Europe to install this type of equipment, which was soon followed by a workshop making filter bags.
As from 1973, the TESTORI Company heat welded Polyester bags and became a pioneer in this very advanced field of manufacture.
Since then, the TESTORI Company has become a group with a twin strategy and a global view:
The TESTORI Company holds ISO 9001:2000 certification, and it makes a point of defending quality to ensure enhanced customer satisfaction.
Its R&D department is constantly working on development of new filtration media, to further improve their levels of performance in conformity with the new directives imposed on the market.
